Biography

Phil was raised in Augusta, Georgia. He was a competitive athlete in high school participating in crew making it to the national championships. He continued rowing his freshmen year in college before playing lacrosse and rugby his sophomore and junior years. After graduating college he joined the military and spent the next twelve years trying to stay in shape between a mix of running and using the base gym.

In 2014 he started Crossfit as a way to work out with his wife Alicia and they both discovered a passion for the community. Since then Phil has called affiliates all over the world home from South Korea, Kuwait, North Carolina, and now Crossfit646. His biggest lesson over the years is that lasting results come from humbleness, patience, and consistency.

After losing his dad to Type II Diabetes and heart failure, Crossfit’s goal of eliminating 70% of chronic diseases through healthy living hit home. He wants to help others realize that Crossfit is for anyone and that just because you get older doesn’t mean you have to slow down.

When Phil is not at work or at the box he is spending time with Alicia and their four kids.
