Aaron has been training at CrossFit 646 since Valentines Day and that WOD was epic! In fact I was nervous for Aaron’s life during that workout 🙂 Afterwards, Melissa and I talked and we didn’t think we’d ever see Aaron again! Thankfully, we were dead wrong. Aaron decided to dive into CrossFit by taking the foundations course and since then, he has seen ridiculous improvements in strength, flexibility, endurance, and technique. So much so that Aaron is currently following the Performance Track and thriving there. My mind was blown last week when Aaron Clean & Jerked 90 Kilos!* Impressive considering I thought he was going to fall over squatting the bar 4 months ago. After the lift I asked Aaron, “Where did you come from?” and he responded, “FROM THE COUCH!” He is a perfect a example of what can happen to an ordinary person with a bit of grit! Aaron’s transformation from average to exceptional is the result of hard work and consistency. Aaron is at the gym every day, he stays late to finish the performance workouts, and he has obviously dialed in his diet, as we all know that he won the body fat challenge in July. All of this hard work came together for Aaron this morning when he got his first Muscle Up! Talk about an awesome month!! Lastly, Aaron has improved because he is refreshingly coachable! When Mel and I give Aaron instruction, he does it without a second thought. This characteristic is so important in an athlete’s journey to elite performance, fitness and health. Way to go Aaron! Thank you Aaron, for being a great person, for being a part of our gym and congratulations on achieving Athlete of the Month!
