Rick has been a member of 646 since January of 2016. Rick is a busy human, but he likes working out and in the past did a lot of running and playing soccer. Being that he is so busy, Rick had to choose between running and CrossFit and when I asked him about it, Rick said that CrossFit is more fun (even though he still enjoys running)! Rick is very positive and witty in his demeanor, which makes him a great person to have in class or to do a partner WOD with. In addition to being a cool person to be around, Rick goes really, really, hard during workouts! I’m always impressed when I see Rick’s name consistently next to the top scores r the top score on the whiteboard. Whether you scale your workouts or not, you still have to go fast and hard to earn the fastest times. Rick does it with a smile, which is what I really love about this guy.
All of Rick’s hard work, consistency and positive attitude stood out when he took home 1st place in the Masters Division of our Fittest of 646 Competition last month! CrossFit is obviously not all about winning, which Rick understands, but his work is paying off for him. We have some awesome group of Masters in our 646 community who are intense and fun to be around and Rick is one of them! Rick, thanks for being a rock star and congratulations on earning Athlete of the Month!!!
